In the second part of ICB, after the murder of the Clutter family, Capote uses some examples of when Perry's family communicates with him to show that he is a monster and will always be one no matter how much he tries. The manuscrpt Perry's father wrote contained how he raised him to follow the rules and always obey the laws and to be respectfull, but after going threw all that had to do with the Clutter family being murdered, we know of all of that said about Perry to not be true. Capote placed that manuscrpt in that particular spot in the book so the readers can see that he is a monster at heart and not just an innocent robber. After thinking in the beginning of the book that he was innocent and likeable, he will always be a bad guy and he was all along. Also, in Barbara's letter to Perry she basically tells him to take responsibility for his actions and stop doing bad things even though he is loved more than she is. Capote uses this letter to show the readers that Perry did screw up his life and his family members see that. This letter shows us that he keeps doing bad things and he won't stop and truely proves that he is a monster at heart..
